Quantum counting algorithm can estimate the number of solutions in a database. In this paper, we analyze its behaviors in the presence of decoherence errors. We construct two counting circuits in which the order of commutative gates are altered and show that the behaviors of circuits are different when decoherence errors occur. On one circuit, almost correct number of solutions are obtained and on the other circuit, the estimated numbers of solutions are mostly distributed over the correct one and wrong counts zero and , the number of elements. We analyze that these phenomena result from the rotation outside the Grover space due to decoherence.

Simulating the Effect of Decoherence and Inaccuracies on a Quantum Computer
A Quantum Computer is a new type of computer which can solve problems such as factoring and database search very efficiently. The usefulness of a quantum computer is limited by the effect of two different types of errors, decoherence and inaccuracies. In this paper we show the results of simulations of a quantum computer which consider both decoherence and inaccuracies. We simulate circuits whi...

Quantum fisher information of a parameter characterizing the sensitivity of a state with respect to parameter changes. In this paper, we study the quantum fisher information of the W state for four, five, six and seven particles in decoherence channels, such as amplitude damping, phase damping and depolarizing channel. Using Krauss operators for decoherence channels components, we investigate t...

With current technologies, it seems to be very difficult to implement quantum computers with many qubits. It is therefore of importance to simulate quantum algorithms and circuits on the existing computers. However, for a large-size problem, the simulation often requires more computational power than is available from sequential processing. Therefore, the simulation methods using parallel proce...
متن کاملProtecting quantum information encoded in decoherence-free states against exchange errors
The exchange interaction between identical qubits in a quantum-information processor gives rise to unitary two-qubit errors. It is shown here that decoherence-free subspaces ~DFSs! for collective decoherence undergo Pauli errors under exchange, which, however, do not take the decoherence-free states outside of the DFS. In order to protect DFSs against these errors it is sufficient to employ a r...
